A resident told Seat Pleasant councilors the city website is not user friendly and urged an update, and a staff member said a complete overhaul is planned.
At the start of the meeting, resident Deborah Bridal, identified herself and gave her address, and said she has attended prior meetings and is concerned the city’s website lacks historical material and photographs of local homes and sites. “I don't think that the website is user friendly,” Bridal said.
A staff member responding to the comment said the city’s public engagement team is working on a complete overhaul and that the city expects to hire a consultant or contractor to assist. The staff member said officials “all agree that it needs to be a complete overhaul” and that the city is aiming to publish a new site this year so information on the website matches information provided to residents.
The exchange occurred during the citizen-comment portion of the meeting; no formal follow-up motion or vote on the website was recorded in the transcript.
