The board said the action approved an amendment to a 02/13/2025 settlement agreement and release between the student’s parents and the district in OAH case number 2025010083. According to the statement read into the record after closed session, the district agreed to fund and provide educational services specified in the agreement and the student’s parents agreed to release claims against the district in exchange for those services.
Board Member Diaz moved the approval in closed session and Board Member Olguin seconded the motion, the board reported at the open meeting. The district did not provide further terms of the agreement during the public portion of the meeting; the board reported the existence of the action and the parties and case number on the public record.
The board then convened into the regular open-meeting agenda.
