The School Committee voted March 10 to accept an in-kind donation of 20 youth physical vouchers from ConvenienceMD, district staff said.
Dr. Raff announced that district nurse leader Kelly Bell arranged the donation through a ConvenienceMD school-nurse partnership. The vouchers are valued at $50 each; staff indicated they will be distributed to families through school nurses and principals. The committee moved, seconded and voted to accept the donation.
Why it matters: donated vouchers can facilitate required youth physicals for families who may face cost or scheduling barriers; staff said the vouchers will be distributed to families in coordination with school principals and the district nurse.
