The task force was created after the 2022 legalization of adult-use recreational cannabis, Gomer said; a portion of state revenue from that law is returned to local communities and has been earmarked for these grants. Gomer asked the commissioners to endorse the three projects and add them into the next year’s budget.
A motion to approve item A — the task force’s three project recommendations — was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners thanked the task force for its work.
