What the district presented Work-based learning coordinator/lead Mr. Steinberg explained that state graduation-measure changes move the state from three diplomas to a single diploma with endorsements or seals for advanced designations, mastery and technical areas. Syosset built SIO Plus to let students earn the State Education Department technical endorsement while remaining at the home high school; to earn an endorsement, students must complete 3.5 credits of approved coursework (half-credit must include personal finance), and pass an industry-standard exam.
