The change reflects Wake County's request to revise how payments are calculated and collected.
The interlocal arrangement allows Wake County to provide inspection services to municipalities in the county; North Carolina law permits a town to provide its own inspections or contract with another governmental agency. At the meeting the town manager described the update as a timing change only, with no rate increase. Commissioner Joiner moved approval; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The board recorded no further changes to inspection responsibilities or service levels. The town manager was authorized to execute the agreement on the town's behalf.
