Board approves consent agenda, summer-school budget and multiple policy updates in 7-0 votes

The Fond du Lac Board of Education approved multiple routine items and policy revisions during its March 10 regular meeting, voting unanimously on the consent agenda, the proposed 2025 summer school budget and three sets of policy updates.

Board members passed each motion by roll call with seven yes votes and no no votes. The summer-school budget drew brief operational questions about student transportation; other measures passed with little discussion. All motions were approved 7–0.

The board first approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Feb. 24 regular meeting, personnel recommendations and the bimonthly financial report. The motion carried on a roll-call vote of 7–0.

The board then approved the 2025 summer-school budget as presented. During that item a district staff member described that elementary summer-school programming will be hosted at two sites, Riverside and Parkside, and that transportation will run via site-based loops. Buses will operate loops and stop at students’ home school sites to drop students at the summer-school locations. After the brief explanation the board approved the budget by a 7–0 roll-call vote.

The board completed second readings and approvals of recommended policy changes drawn from the district’s Neola update and a special policy update (identified in the meeting as “Edgar UGG” / special update). The board also approved revisions to Board Policies 33-40 and 43-40 (grievance procedure) on second reading. Each of those items passed 7–0 on roll-call votes.

All votes were recorded as approved with a tally of seven yes, zero no. No motions failed, were tabled or sent for further study during the portion of the agenda covered by these votes.

The board recessed at 5:35 p.m. and later convened a workshop on handbook updates. That workshop was discussion-only and produced no board votes.
