Mountain View Community Center director previews movie night, benefit lunch and DEI sessions

Edgewood — Jesse Holden, executive director of the Mountain View Community Center, gave the council a public update during audience comment on Feb. 11, announcing upcoming events and the center's interest in supporting the city's DEI subcommittee.
Holden said the center will host a joint movie night on Friday, Feb. 21 and corrected the date publicly during remarks. She said the center hopes to participate in DEI subcommittee listening sessions and requested assistance distributing materials for their Bound by Hope benefit lunch, scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at the community center. Holden described that benefit lunch as a free event and encouraged donations and volunteer participation.
She told the council she would leave printed materials at City Hall for distribution. "Thank you so much for your continued support and partnership," Holden said at the end of her remarks.
