Commission to finalize annual report, organize phone-tree and assess WinterFest outreach

Commission members debriefed WinterFest, reporting the event drew roughly 1,700 attendees. Members said seed packets were especially popular and that National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) coloring books also attracted children. Several members noted the booth location was windy and very cold, which reduced interaction during some time periods. Members suggested tailoring next year’s materials toward families and partnering with library or school programs to offer more child‑focused activities and to share table space.
