"This system ultimately helps us manage and track the work to take care of those systems and all the other systems that are within those facilities," a staff presenter said. Council members asked for cost/benefit detail; staff said that while exact near-term savings are hard to quantify, the system is expected to provide value via better recordkeeping, reduced emergency repairs and centralized asset knowledge.
