The Yakima City Planning Commission completed its annual officer selections at its Feb. 12 meeting. Chair Place accepted the nomination for chair and commissioners confirmed Anne to continue as vice chair.
Nomination and second were made from the floor and the commission took a roll-call vote on the appointments. Vice Chair Knapp and Chair Place presided over the process; commissioners present recorded their votes during the roll call. The commission also agreed to add an "Other Business" agenda slot to allow sitting commissioners to make personal-opinion comments with a preface and to provide clarity for public comment from commissioners.
Ending: The commission said staff will add an "Other Business / Commissioner Comments" item to future agendas so commissioners who wish to express personal views in a meeting can do so with a clear prefatory statement; the appointments stand.
