Representatives for Endeavor Health asked the Village of Lake Bluff Architectural Board on March 4 to approve sign replacements at 71 Waukegan Road as part of a rebrand of the former North Shore location.
McKenna, a representative from Modern Signs, told the board that the application proposes to replace two on-site monument signs with new foundations in the same locations and to replace an existing wall cabinet with individually mounted channel letters (face-lit) that tie into existing electrical junction boxes behind the building wall.
Members described the channel letters as a cleaner, more modern option than the existing cabinet and noted the monument signs would be installed in the same footprint. After brief questions about illumination and mounting, a motion to approve the sign package as submitted was moved and seconded; the board then conducted a roll-call vote. Member Wicks, Member Stratus, Member Cottrell and Chairman Hunter all voted in favor and the motion passed.
Outcome: Motion to approve the submitted signage package passed by unanimous roll-call vote. The approved work includes replacing two monument signs (new foundations) and replacing the existing wall cabinet with face-lit channel letters using existing electrical feeds. The record shows no conditions attached to the approval.
