The Dawsonville City Council approved $29,750 for installation of six light poles and related timers at the Main Street Park basketball court.
Public Works staff presented the estimate and said the lights would be integrated with planned pickleball court lighting and timing controls. Staff told the council the cost would be charged to impact fees. Councilmember Ill moved to approve the expenditure and Councilmember Sawyer seconded; the council voted to approve the installation.
No public comment on the lights was recorded during the meeting. Staff said the vendor can install the system promptly once scheduled.
