The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners adopted a fiscal year 2025 budget amendment after a public hearing at the Feb. 25 meeting, approving reallocations to cover projected shortfalls and to fund in-process projects.
County staff described the amendment as a cleanup measure to move money into the departmental accounts and projects that need funding to be completed this fiscal year. The board held the required public hearing, took no public opposition during the item, and then approved the resolution and the associated budget adjustments by unanimous vote.
The county clerk and budget staff will post the adopted resolution and amended budget documents to the county's public records once processed.
What's next: Staff will implement the transfers and return any follow-up financial reports as appropriate during regular budget monitoring updates.
