Commissioners continue public hearing on MobilTechUSA rezoning request in Franklin Township

The Warren County Board of Commissioners voted to continue a public hearing on a rezoning application from MobilTechUSA (case number 202404) to rezone approximately 10.0509 acres from Community Commercial Business (B2) to Light Industrial Manufacturing Zone (I1) in Franklin Township. The continuation was to an indeterminate date at the applicant’s request.

A county staff member said the applicant’s representative submitted a letter asking for additional time for discussions between the applicant and the representative. "We received a letter from the representative for the applicant, and they've requested a continuation of the public hearing to allow additional time for discussion between the applicant and the representative," the staff member said.

The board considered options for setting a new date or allowing the applicant to withdraw the application. A staff-read resolution continuing the public hearing for MobilTechUSA, case number 202404, was moved and seconded and adopted by roll call. Recorded responses included "Yes" from Mr. Grossman and "Yes" from Mrs. Jones; the clerk called the roll on the resolution.

The resolution's motion text described the continuation of the hearing and listed the property at about 10.0509 acres in Franklin Township to be rezoned from B2 to I1. No new continuation date was set during the meeting; staff indicated they would coordinate a new date with the applicant or accept a withdrawal if the applicant chose that option.
