Commissioners hear Enterprise Fleet Management pitch to centralize and optimize vehicle fleet

Sean Ryan of Enterprise Fleet Management presented to the Hocking County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 20, outlining services the company offers to government partners, including lifecycle planning, remarketing through Enterprise’s remarketing channel and periodic fleet reviews to identify optimal replacement timing.
Ryan said his firm already works with more than 98 government entities in Ohio and can be procured through Sourcewell, reducing procurement time. He emphasized the potential to lower maintenance and operational costs by timing vehicle cycles to capture resale value, and described the firm’s remarketing capabilities.
Commissioners asked how county vehicles are currently acquired and whether departments would participate; Ryan said participation would require buy‑in from department heads (sheriff, engineer and others) and recommended starting conversations with those offices. The commissioners agreed to have staff circulate Ryan’s marketing materials (via the clerk) to department heads and to follow up if there is interest to schedule demonstrations or analyses.
