Lawrence County commissioners approve routine contracts, hiring and road hearing; Pickaway consulting agreement passes with one abstention

The approvals covered: the Jan. 28, 2025 meeting minutes; a floodplain permit submitted by the Soil and Water Conservation District; appropriations and transfers dated Feb. 4, 2025 (items under $75,000); a consulting services agreement between the Lawrence County Auditor's Office and Pickaway County; receipt and filing of correspondence from the Rome hometown love board; a Title 4-D contract for legal services with McCown & Fisher LPA for calendar year 2025; the rehire of Jamie Bryant as a part-time advanced EMT; and authorization for staff to advertise a public viewing and public hearing to establish Bridal Road 3467 (State Route 243) as a public roadway.
The consulting services agreement between the county auditor's office and Pickaway County passed with an abstention from Commissioner Finley; Commissioners Holliday and Crowley voted yes. All other listed motions passed unanimously. The board also voted to meet in executive session to discuss personnel later in the day.
