Morrow County commissioners approve routine bills, hires, contracts and dismiss opioid claim

The board also approved a small technology quote from Logicalis for $784 and authorized the chairman to sign the quote. In a separate consent item, the commissioners accepted a prosecutor recommendation and approved a voluntary dismissal of a defendant named "Miami Lupin Incorporated" from the national opioid litigation, on the basis that the company is bankrupt and unable to contribute to settlement funds.
All recorded votes on those items were roll-call votes with the three commissioners recorded as voting yes. Several motions were moved and seconded during the meeting; the transcript records motion and second phrasing but does not consistently name movers and seconders for each item.
The hire of a maintenance worker is effective Feb. 24, 2025; the courthouse security agreement covers FY2025. Staff noted that some pay applications were final and that payments had been processed for completed work.
