Greg Fouty of the Department of Development told commissioners the phase covers Lots 10 and 11 as commercial parcels totaling 4.234 acres; Lot 10 is proposed for a Mike’s Car Wash and Lot 11 for a multi-tenant retail building. Lot 13 is recorded as open space, totaling about 1.384 acres. Fouty said the Planning Commission approved the plat on Jan. 14, 2025. He described the site as on Cox Road at the border between Liberty and West Chester townships, at the southern edge of the Freedom Point development.
After questions about the location, a motion to approve the Department of Development’s resolutions was moved and seconded and carried by the two commissioners present. The board’s action clears the final plat for recording and subsequent development steps under local planning procedures.
Why it matters: Final plat approval allows the developer to proceed with lot-level permitting and construction; the commercial lots are planned for a car wash and retail uses that will add local commercial capacity along Cox Road.
