Butler County commissioners approve budget transfers, major contracts and appointments

The Butler County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 19 approved a package of finance transfers, contract awards and personnel actions covering road projects, water and sewer work, social‑service placements and county system upgrades.
Dave McCormick, the county finance director, said the board considered three finance items, including cash transfers and budget appropriations. He told the commissioners the requisitions over $25,000 that morning totaled $16,510,625, and that about $13,768,000 (83 percent) of the total were requests from the Water and Sewer Department. “These requisitions have gone through the review and approval process of the departments and agencies,” McCormick said, and he recommended approval.
