The finance director, Dave McCormick, reviewed the items and recommended approval, saying the requisitions and appropriations were within budget and appropriate for review. "With that commissioners, I recommend approval," McCormick told the board.

Commissioner comment: During the awards discussion, one commissioner praised the sheriff's animal program, saying the spay-and-neuter grant "is a really good program" and that many county residents appreciate the service.
The motions to approve the finance and departmental resolutions were moved and seconded and were recorded as approved by the commissioners present. (Commissioner Rogers was excused earlier in the meeting.)
The board reconvened routine business and scheduled future meetings for March; the board will host a public hearing at the next regular meeting on a hospital revenue bond matter requested by Bon Secours Mercy Health.
