Craig Flowty, representing the Department of Development, told commissioners the lot is designated on the master plan for a grocery store with an attached retail component. Flowty said no commercial user has been publicly identified yet and that the master plan for the parcel had not changed since planning commission approval on Jan. 14. Commissioners voted to approve the final plat as presented.
During brief questioning, commissioners confirmed this action covered only the single lot (Lot 14) and not the entire phase. The planning commission previously approved the plat; the commission’s action makes the plat official for recordation and development review.
