Lock Haven staff told the City Council that an ad hoc active-transportation steering committee has been meeting monthly and that a community survey to inform the city’s active-transportation plan went live the day of the meeting and will close Feb. 28.
The presenter read the committee roster into the record and thanked members for contributing local knowledge to guide the consultant team. Staff said the committee has helped identify safety concerns, route priorities and topics for public outreach. The survey, staff said, covers walking, bicycling, scooters and driver-observed issues such as sightlines and signal timing; results will be used by the consultant to refine the plan.
Staff said the survey will have a quick turnaround so the consultant team can incorporate community input early in plan development; a press release and a posting on the city’s engagement page were planned for the following day. The city asked residents to contact the planning office with questions.
