Civil service testing for firefighters: The council authorized administration of the civil service test for firefighters to fill one vacant position and to refresh the eligibility list after staff review. The presenter said one candidate previously on the list will be retained. Council approved the request unanimously.
Executive session authorization: The council voted to enter an executive session to consider purchase or sale of property and competitive bidding with counsel and named staff (John, Derek, and the mayor) to attend; the motion passed with recorded yes votes.
