Morrison County schedules budget committee meeting for March 4

Morrison County Chief Financial Officer Kurt Bernarski told the Board of Commissioners he was scheduling the budget committee meeting to review the final 2024 financial report and proposed a date following earlier deliberations. The board agreed to hold the budget committee meeting at 9:00 a.m. on March 4.
Bernarski said he will distribute the 2024 financial report by the end of the week to give commissioners time to prepare questions. The board indicated March 4, after the planning meeting, would work for members’ schedules. No formal vote was recorded; the meeting date was set by consensus.
Bernarski also noted that the county will begin preparing for the 2026 budget process after the 2024 report is finalized.
