Miss Perry presented Budget Amendment No. 5, which she characterized as primarily revenue increases: “$861,000 so these are all just revenue increases for whatever different programs that you put on there,” she said. Perry explained these adjustments come from grants, donations, reimbursements and commissions and that the district monitors collections monthly and adjusts estimates as appropriate.

Board members discussed ITB 25-04 for district-wide athletic-field services after seeing a substantial price difference between bidders. One board member noted the awarded bidder was out of county but that accepting a lower bid saved roughly $50,000. Staff told the board that although the awarded bid was higher in some line items than in-county alternatives, the net savings and service continuity favored the recommended vendor.
The board chair noted the deletion of item 7.15, a memorandum of understanding between the school district and the Florida Department of Corrections, saying that item “will be deleted.” The deletion was announced at the start of the workshop and removed from tonight’s consent agenda.
Ending: Several consent items were recommended by the superintendent and will return for formal approval on the meeting agenda; staff will continue to monitor revenue collections and return with any required adjustments or follow-up.
