Tree Action Seattle urges council to adopt six amendments to One Seattle plan and back social housing developer

Robert Reid, speaking for Tree Action Seattle during the March 4 public comment period, urged the City Council to adopt six amendments to the One Seattle comprehensive plan and said the group supports the social housing developer model.
"We're still all about the 6 amendments to the 1 Seattle plan. It's all about the trees, the birds, the humans, affordable housing, parks for everybody, and the community centers in every neighborhood center, all 30 of them," Reid said. He offered to present the amendments to the council and to answer questions.
Reid’s remarks occurred during the council’s hybrid public comment period; no council action on the requested amendments was recorded at the meeting.
Tree Action Seattle’s request was part of the public comment portion of the council meeting, which the council noted was limited to items on the day’s agenda, the introduction and referral calendar, and the council work program.
