Nicholas Halodakis, director of communications for Waukegan CUSD 60, reminded district families, staff and students that the 2024–25 statewide 5Essentials survey is open and that the deadline to complete it is March 28.
Halodakis said the research-based survey gathers information about school climate and learning conditions, including areas such as effective leadership, collaborative teaching and family involvement. The district uses responses to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
The announcement encouraged participation from all district households and staff; Halodakis said results give the district “insight into key areas like effective leadership, collaborative teaching, and involved families.” The district did not provide a participation target or current response rate in the announcement.
The district’s communications message directs respondents to complete the survey online; a registration or access link was said to be available on the district website.
