Fairview commissioners approve audits, licenses, annexation and property actions in March 6 meeting

The Fairview Board of Commissioners approved multiple routine and policy items March 6, voting unanimously on a set of resolutions and motions that included acceptance of the city's FY2024 audit, approval of an owner-consent annexation, authorization for a letter of intent to purchase a parcel adjacent to City Hall, and purchase of licenses to support apparatus dispatch on Fire/EMS iPads. • Interlocal agreement for FieldOps licenses (Resolution 09-25). The board approved an interlocal agreement with Williamson County to purchase licenses/subscriptions for FieldOps (Central Square) that allow apparatus-level (unit-based) dispatch on iPads rather than costly mobile data terminals. Staff said licenses run about $120 per license per year and the request covered four licenses; the motion passed 4-0.

• Authorization to begin process to secure property in Lyles for police training (Item 11GS). The board voted (3-0, one commissioner absent) to allow the city manager to start the process to secure property in Lyles, Tennessee, as a potential training site for police. The item was described as an initial authorization for staff to pursue the option and begin negotiations; it does not commit the city to final purchase.
