Code Enforcement Officer Don White told the magistrate that the complaint, dated Dec. 19, documented significant overgrowth and retention-pond vegetation on the property at issue and that the owner had multiple prior notices. At the hearing, staff confirmed the property was brought into compliance and requested no further action.
A neighborhood resident who filed the original complaint, Garrett Laxton, told the magistrate he had been concerned about safety around the retention pond and said he was satisfied that the property has been cleaned. Because the violations were resolved and the city did not provide magistrate orders proving repeat offenses in the hearing packet, the magistrate did not impose fines and did not issue an order.
