Council unanimously approves rezoning, dispatch agreement, golf fees, janitorial contract, water‑rights study and related items

Tooele City Council on March 5 unanimously approved a set of ordinances, resolutions and routine items, including a zoning map amendment near 1405 Conifer Street, an intergovernmental dispatch agreement with Tooele County, a fee schedule adjustment for Ochre Hills Golf Course, a janitorial services contract, a comprehensive water‑rights study and payment of a UDOT grant‑related invoice.

The most consequential items for city operations included authorization of a comprehensive water‑rights study, a new multi‑site janitorial contract and confirmation of the city’s share of county dispatch costs.

Dispatch agreement: Police Chief Adrian Day asked council to approve the fiscal‑year 2025–26 dispatch agreement with Tooele County. “The complete estimated budget of dispatch is about $2,000,000. Half of that is being paid for by state 9 1 1 tax funds,” Day said, and noted the city’s share reflected a population base fee plus a usage component. Chief Day said Tooele’s total in the agreement is $284,052. The council approved Resolution 2025‑11 on a 5–0 vote (Councilwoman Manzio, Councilwoman Goetz, Councilman Hansen, Councilman McCall and Councilman Brady voting aye).
