The Select Board announced on Feb. 25 that it has ratified a three‑year memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Permanent Firefighters Association Local 2023 covering the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The board said the agreement generally follows parameters already agreed with other town collective bargaining units.
Town Manager Andy Sheehan told the board the contract is the fifth of seven municipal bargaining units the town is negotiating; he described appreciation on both sides for how talks concluded.
The vote to ratify occurred during the executive session the board held earlier in the meeting and was reported publicly when the board returned to open session. The public announcement did not include a roll‑call tally in the open session; the board stated the MOA had been ratified and congratulated staff and union representatives on reaching the agreement.
