Trustees asked administration to undertake a public information campaign on attendance, noting that even small percentage declines in ADA can have large budget impacts. Administrators said they would implement communication strategies and monitor ADA patterns carefully if the board’s adopted calendar led to higher‑risk dates.
A board member opposed the vote, saying the potential funding risk and operational trade‑offs needed more study. The motion to adopt version C passed 6 in favor and 1 opposed. The board also approved seeing a draft 2026–27 calendar (version C) for planning purposes.
