The Mesquite Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a set of routine and personnel actions, including the consent agenda, contract renewals for senior administrators and principals, orders related to the May 3 trustee election and a resolution on employee pay for bad-weather days. Each motion passed unanimously, 7-0.
Trustees approved the consent agenda on a motion by Trustee Hornby with a second by Trustee Carbel; the chair recorded the vote as 7-0. Later in the meeting, Trustee Collier moved to approve contract renewals for deputy superintendent, assistant superintendents, chief officers, the internal auditor, executive directors, principals, head football coaches and athletic directors; Trustee Rose seconded that motion, and the board voted 7-0 to approve the renewals.
