UW-Stevens Point Wausau campus reports steady spring enrollment, new HOLA partnership

A representative from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point’s Wausau campus reported that spring enrollment is tracking near expectations and that fall 2025 recruitment is strong, with applications and admitted-student confirmations up.
The presenter, identified only as Miranda from UW–Stevens Point, said spring enrollment is about 2,110 students (a number she gave as “right around 02:10”) and that admissions counselors are focusing on converting admitted students into confirmed fall enrollments. She described a successful admitted-student day that included FAFSA assistance and advising appointments.
Miranda also announced a new on-campus presence for HOLA (Healthy Opportunities for Latin Americans) in partnership with H2N (the Hmong and Hispanic Communication Network Project), saying the group has an office on the Wausau campus and has begun hosting events and client meetings.
Committee members asked whether school visits for eighth graders still occur (Miranda said visits take place at the Wausau campus) and whether the campus has recruiters assigned (Miranda named one recruiter, Becca, who covers three campuses with a primary assignment to Wausau, and a nontraditional recruiter, Sam, who focuses on Wausau and Marshfield). She also said FAFSA processing is improved compared with the prior year and financial-aid packets are going out to incoming students.
