The La Conner Planning Commission approved minutes from its Feb. 18 meeting and voted to approve a minor-residential renovation at 513 South Port, a building adjacent to the county history museum annex.
On the minutes, a commissioner moved to approve and a second was recorded as Daniel; the chair called for a voice vote and commissioners responded “Aye,” and the motion carried.
On the public hearing for 513 South Port, staff said Joe Wolfe was unable to attend but provided the application materials and a staff summary. Staff told the commission the project involves window and siding work and replacing a door with a lighted window; there are no bearing-wall changes and no major structural alterations. Staff said the work will not require a building permit from Skagit County because it is a minor repair in the Storage Preservation District.
Commissioner Hedlund seconded the motion to approve the renovation; the chair called for a voice vote and commissioners responded “Aye,” and the motion carried.
