County project planner D'Inorra Chola told the hearing that the renewal (County file PLN3009400205) involves no physical changes to the existing installation: three antennas mounted atop a utility pole, two external TMAs on a wood extension that raises the pole to approximately 85 feet, 10 inches, three pole‑mounted equipment cabinets, a junction box and a concealment sleeve (a 16‑inch cylinder) around the antennas. Because no changes or expansion are proposed, staff recommended approval and determined the renewal is categorically exempt from CEQA under Guideline §15301 (existing facilities).
The hearing officer said he had reviewed the staff report and approved the use‑permit renewal, noting the decision may be appealed in writing by 5 p.m. on March 20, 2025; the appeal must be accompanied by a $1,962 appeal fee as stated in the staff notice.
No members of the public spoke on the item during the hearing. The approval preserves the previously approved conditions of operation; staff indicated the conditions listed in Attachment A remain in effect.
