Buckley rolls out SeeClickFix service-request app; announces new senior center coordinator

The Buckley City Council heard a city-administrator update that the city’s virtual service-request app, SeeClickFix, is live and accessible at cityofbuckley.com. The city is conducting a soft launch and will include a broader rollout in the community newsletter.
The city administrator (name not read into the record) said the app is intended for non-emergency service requests — code enforcement, utilities, potholes, litter removal and similar items — and is not a substitute for 911. The administrator said users will receive an automatic acknowledgment and staff will be notified and assigned; the expected initial response time is 72 hours as the city gauges volume.
Council member Ron praised the tool as a modern way for residents to report issues; Council member Denise suggested the city post information on community Facebook pages to help residents use the app rather than simply venting online. Council member Brandon asked about an expected service-level turnaround; the administrator responded that 72 hours is the starting target and staff will update requesters through the app.
The administrator also announced that Lori Lund will start tomorrow as the new senior center recreation coordinator; she will spend an initial welcome week before taking on full coordinator duties. The city also noted one vacancy for a utility worker posted on governmentjobs.com and linked from the city website.
