Council approves final plat for 22-lot Providence Heights subdivision; county will grant final sign‑off

The Centralia City Council voted on Feb. 25 to approve the final plat for Providence Heights, a 22‑lot subdivision located on the top of Cooks Hill Road.
Emil Pearson, community development director, told the council the developer has met city requirements and installed required improvements; city engineering and community development signed off on the work. "This is a final plat for a subdivision that's recently been completed up on the top of Cooks Hill Road, called Providence Heights," Pearson said.
Because the property is in the urban growth area, the city’s approval will be forwarded to the Lewis County commissioners for final action, Pearson said.
A motion to approve the final plat carried with an oral unanimous vote; the council did not receive public comment on the item at the meeting.
