The Walton County Design Review Board on March 6 approved a monument sign for Townhouse Place Suites, a property in District 4 along Scenic Golf Drive.
Planning staff described the request as a scenic corridor sign application for a monument sign measuring 95.5 inches by 83.5 inches, a total of 55.38 square feet, on a 1.55-acre parcel with a future land use of mixed use and Coastal Center zoning. Tim Brown of Planning and Development said the application "is compliant with the scenic corridor regulations."
Board members asked whether the scanned drawing in the packet matched the submitted site plan. Applicant Brad Sanders confirmed the monument sign location matched the original drawings. "Yes," Sanders said when asked to verify the placement for the record.
With no public comment, a board member moved to approve the monument sign; the motion received a second and was adopted.
The approval covers only the monument sign described in the packet; the building sign for the same project was approved by the board at an earlier meeting, Brown said.
No conditions beyond standard compliance and placement verification were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
