The event is slated for a morning session with a listed window of about 10 a.m. to noon; committee members said the program itself would run approximately 90 minutes.
Members discussed including a hands-on table demonstrating how to build a DIY box fan/filters unit and a handout explaining filter purchases and timing (for example, advising people to buy filters before fire season when supplies are available). They proposed simple displays with regional wildfire acreage and seasonal temperature trends, and suggested pulling graphics readily available from public-domain sources.
The committee also addressed coordination with regional emergency partners, noting references to the Fire Authority and the North Shore Emergency Management Coalition. Organizers said they will circulate briefing sheets and seek volunteers to staff the event, and they intend to invite collaborators and neighboring jurisdictions.
