Rezoning — 1027 North Fifth Street (B‑3 to R‑4) Staff said the property contains an existing single‑family house and applicants requested rezoning to R‑4 to align with the Near North neighborhood and facilitate sale and financing. No public comments were offered. Commissioner Eichert moved approval; Commissioner Bud Key seconded. The motion passed.
Ordinance to amend Chapter 18, section 18‑0101 (membership of Planning and Zoning Commission) The commission gave preliminary approval to a text amendment to add the Grand Forks Air Force Base wing commander or designee as a nonvoting ex‑officio member of the commission. Commissioner Eichert moved the preliminary approval; Commissioner Sandy seconded. Staff will confirm base awareness and return refined language for final reading next month.
