CPC members asked project representatives to resubmit a consolidated application document rather than multiple attachments. "If this is gonna be final, they just need to cut out two of them," said Freddie Gillespie as the committee reviewed the applicant's packet. Committee members agreed to ask the applicant to include a 10% contingency amount and to confirm whether the applicant can meet the committee's proposed project sunset (completion) date.
Members discussed administrative details the town expects in all applications: a single dated application document, a clear contact person, project start and end dates, and contingency-request procedures requiring CPC approval before using contingency funds. The committee requested the applicant confirm whether the Department of Public Works or the Board of Selectmen will oversee the project and asked that the applicant supply a single, final vendor quote for the restoration work.
On a motion to approve advancing the article as drafted and amended, committee members voted by roll call with results recorded as: Ben Smith (yes), Kristen (yes), Claire (abstain), Brett (yes), Grant (yes), Ellen (yes), Lisa Braccio (yes). The motion passed with six yes votes and one abstention. Committee staff will notify the applicant of requested edits and will post a revised, dated application packet to the CPC website for Town Meeting reference.
Committee members also asked that the applicant confirm any required permitting or coordination with the town's master plan for public plantings if site disturbance will occur. The committee requested that the applicant indicate whether additional fundraising sources will be pursued before Town Meeting.
