Staff said programming and hiring responsibilities have moved to boards directly overseeing the programs through SASID and LATTC, and that services and funding will continue through SASID with no interruption.
On the draft board-member handbook, staff and board members discussed whether to maintain a full handbook or create a shorter reference guide that points to policies and statutes. Board members agreed to form a small revision process and to return a revised document to the board for discussion at the April 15 regular meeting; staff proposed sending weekly update summaries of edits while soliciting comments via Google Docs or email.
No formal policy changes were approved during the committee meeting; the board agreed to a process for edits and a target date for discussion and potential consensus in April.
