Board names property‑analysis committee, signals review of battery storage position and moves to executive session

The Three Village Central School District Board of Education announced the members of a new property analysis committee at its March 5 workshop and said it is preparing to discuss a district position on a proposed battery storage facility.

The board said the committee will include seven parent members and two community members and that it will meet four times to review district properties and options such as sales, repurposing or covenants that might limit reuse. The board read the list of selected members into the record and said members would receive more information by email.

In a separate legislative update, the board said it is discussing “what, if any, position” the district should take regarding a proposed battery storage facility and that the administration has seen “misleading advertising” about the project; the board said it dissociates itself from that advertising.

Following the announcements, the board moved to return to executive session to finish earlier agenda items. A motion to return to executive session was seconded and the chair announced that the vote was in favor with no oppositions or abstentions; the public meeting then recessed into executive session.
