Nonprofit special‑use permit fee discount: Commissioners approved a countywide 50% discount on special‑use permit fees for registered 501(c)(3) organizations conducting fundraising events. The policy requires organizations to present federal 501(c)(3) documentation (EIN) as verification; commissioners discussed that individual fundraisers not run by a 501(c)(3) may still seek fee waivers through the standard request process.
Park County Regional Landfill phase 2 retainage: County engineers reported Phase 2 construction of a new landfill cell was substantially complete and that all subcontractor releases and 43‑day notices had been satisfied. The board authorized release of retainage for Nicholson Dirt Contracting in the amount of $52,463.70 plus interest.
Plats and amended plats: The board approved the final plat for Adobe Flats Minor Subdivision #85 (one 18.1‑acre lot) with conditions including a long‑term noxious weed management plan; and it approved an amended plat (Frye SS‑207 Lots 1 and 2) to adjust lot boundaries, subject to recording requirements and a water distribution plan or confirmation from Shoshone Irrigation District.
Assessor office job descriptions: The board approved a restructuring in the assessor’s office that moves the current chief appraiser analyst to first deputy and replaces the analyst role with two positions (market analyst and field analyst). The county manager and assessor told commissioners the restructure fits within the existing budget and is intended to improve field‑work tracking, data integrity checks and public transparency.
The board took these actions by voice votes at the meeting. Several items required ministerial follow‑up: clerical updates to the lease contact, staff verification of delivery and warranty details for equipment procurement, recording plats and required plan submittals, and planning staff oversight for implementation of the nonprofit fee change.
