Staff said a poll of Plan Commission members showed the later start would allow members to attend without altering work schedules; staff also said streaming would require assigning a staff member to run the stream. Trustees discussed whether streaming would be feasible given staffing and budget implications; several trustees supported streaming to give residents easier access to public hearings and to allow trustees to review Plan Commission deliberations when needed.
Trustee discussion included the option to evaluate the new start time and move it again to 6 p.m. if attendance issues persist. A motion to move start time to 5:30 p.m. and to stream Plan Commission meetings passed on a roll call vote.
