Parks director seeks to split supervisor job into two positions for mountain and lakes

Commissioners asked for clarification about whether the department had money in its budget to support the split. The presenter replied the retired supervisor had been at the top pay step, and the department has the funds available to move forward. Commissioners had no objections and asked staff to proceed through the normal hiring and step-placement processes.
No formal vote was recorded; the item was presented as an informational personnel restructuring request and staff said they will proceed with steps consistent with the county’s salary structure.
