The Economic Development Corporation reviewed initial visual concepts for a community rebrand and said the EDC will schedule a joint workshop with the city council to consider formal adoption of a visual brand and rollout plans.
"We did have a very productive EDC community rebranding committee meeting today," Director of Community Development Emilio Livario said. He presented a black-and-white version of a proposed visual identity and said the consultant will circulate color options and refinements for a board vote. "Our goal is really to get a joint workshop scheduled, either later this month or early in April, for the EDC and really the council to adopt the branding formally," he said.
Livario also reported that staff ran focus groups and round tables last week with applied marketing as part of a target industries analysis. He said early recommendations from that work should arrive in a few weeks and the EDC may present findings at the next board meeting.
Board members thanked the rebranding committee and praised the collaboration among the EDC, chamber and city staff. No vote or formal adoption occurred at the meeting; staff will return with refined color options and a proposed workshop date.
