Glory and Grind Coffee to open Friday; Chamber outlines luncheons, job fair and women's brunch

Glory and Grind Coffee, a new coffee shop run by Cleveland residents Peter Wiebe and his wife Jordan, will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14 at the Legacy Salon Suites next to City Hall.
The announcement came during the City of Cleveland Economic Development Corporation meeting, where Chamber of Commerce president Brian Garcia previewed several upcoming chamber events. "We're gonna be featuring Heartwarming Solutions, Cleveland Senior Citizen Organization, and Workforce Solutions" at the chamber's monthly luncheon Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Civic Center, Garcia said. "Please be there."
The chamber also intends to host a job fair on Thursday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in partnership with the city, the EDC and Cleveland ISD; employer registration was described as open. Garcia said the third annual women's "brunch and bubbly" will be March 28 at Grand Oaks Golf Club; nominations for two women of honor are open through March 14.
Peter Wiebe told the board Glory and Grind will offer espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, New York-style bagels and freshly baked cinnamon rolls, and that initial hours on opening day will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. He said regular hours are expected to be 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with possible extended hours after the school year resumes.
The presentations drew brief board praise; multiple members thanked public works and other city staff and welcomed the new business to Cleveland.
The chamber asked members and EDC directors to attend and support the events, and to register employers for the job fair.
